Overview

Nurse Unit Manager – RMN / RGN / RNLD at Hamilton Springs care home in Pontefract. Permanent full time, nights. Rate £24.07 per hour. Location Westfield Lane, South Elmsall, Pontefract, WF9 2JY.

Responsibilities

  • Lead unit care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical and emotional needs of residents.
  • Strong leadership to maintain high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and manage all unit clinical elements and risks.
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed timely and reflect care interventions appropriately.
  • Act as Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, overseeing review and update of care profiles.
  • Supervise and manage unit medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal.

Qualifications

  • First-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
  • Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications.
  • A thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care.
  • An excellent range of clinical and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.
  • Ability to work confidently on own initiative.
  • Good standard of digital skills.
