About the role: As a Senior Nurse - Professional Practice with Exemplar Health Care, you’ll provide authoritative leadership for professional nursing practice, ensuring alignment with the NMC Code and best practice standards. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing and assuring professional development pathways that strengthen capability, retention, and succession.
- Overseeing high quality student placement governance and learner experience, working in partnership with Higher Education Institutions.
- Championing pastoral support for students, newly appointed nurses, and developing practitioners.
- Supporting the design and evaluation of new and extended nursing roles, underpinned by clear governance and measurable impact.
- Contributing to organisational learning from incidents, audits, and reviews where professional practice is a factor.
About you: Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork. You’ll also have:
- A current NMC registration and a strong track record of senior responsibility for professional practice, education, or workforce development.
- Credibility, emotional intelligence, and confidence.
- A deep understanding of professional regulation, clinical governance, and the contemporary social care nursing.
- A passion for developing others, strengthening professional identity, and building future ready nursing systems.
- A Postgraduate education in leadership, education, or workforce development is desirable.
- Experience of competence frameworks, professional assurance systems, and learner supervision.
