Your role will involve supporting people with all aspects of their day‑to‑day living, which may include taking up new hobbies, meeting friends, getting involved in social activities, going to the gym, or looking their best.

Day‑to‑Day Duties

  • Providing personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and, on occasion, assisting with meal times.
  • Promoting independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users.
  • Supporting social and recreational activities – both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group.
  • Maintaining care records; recording observations, activities and assessments.
  • On occasion, welcoming and training new members of your care team.

  • Provide person‑centred care to support service users to maximise their independence and live their best life.
  • Provide warmth, enthusiasm and compassion when providing care.
  • Work within staff values and be an effective communicator.

  • A bespoke induction including the Care Certificate.

Lonnen Grove supports six young adults living with a learning disability and/or autism, and who have complex and high acuity needs. The home has communal living and dining spaces, an activities hub and a garden.
