Contract type: Full time (must be flexible, day and night 12 hour shifts)

Rate: £23.10 per hour

About the role

Highly skilled nursing role supporting adult residents with complex medical, mental health, and learning disability needs. The day‑to‑day responsibilities include assessment, planning and delivery of person‑centred nursing care, safe medication administration, promotion of health and wellbeing, serving as Nurse in Charge of a small unit during shifts, managing behaviours of concern, and promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan and provide person‑centred nursing care for residents.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately.
  • Promote health and wellbeing of residents.
  • Serve as Nurse in Charge of a small unit during shifts.
  • Manage situations involving behaviours of concern.
  • Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.
  • Act as a role model, coach, tutor and support colleagues.
  • Remain calm and defuse challenging situations.
  • Advocate best practice in nursing.
  • Demonstrate a range of clinical skills.
  • Be knowledgeable about assessment, admission and discharge processes.
  • Understand and apply the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Codes of Practice.

Qualifications

Must hold a first‑level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN. Candidates from Adult, Mental Health, and Learning Disability Nursing backgrounds are welcome.

Induction

Fully paid, 3‑week bespoke induction starting 1st September 2026.
