About the role
The Senior Health Care Assistant works closely with the Nurse in Charge and leads the Care Team to support residents’ day‑to‑day life. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting people with personal care
- Assisting people at meal times
- Understanding individual health and wellbeing needs
- Encouraging and supporting participation in social activities
- Promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team of care colleagues
- Ensuring that care documentation is completed to a high standard
Qualifications
- Relevant experience as a Health Care Assistant
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or functional skills equivalent)
