This is an exciting phase in which to join Exeltis to realise their ambitions to become leaders in Women’s Health medicine and contribute to the strategy and culture that will lead to this success.

Role Purpose

The Business Planning & Launch Project Manager leads UK launch planning and execution with a strong focus on supply planning, demand forecasting and operational readiness. The role ensures that UK commercial ambitions are underpinned by robust supply strategies, financially sound plans and disciplined governance, delivering launches that are on time, compliant, supply-secure and sustainable. This role will work cross functionally with quality, regulatory, finance, sales, marketing and global colleagues to ensure Exeltis UK maintains levels of excellence for product supply for patients.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning & Launch Readiness: Own UK demand forecasting and supply planning for pipeline and in-market launches, ensuring alignment between commercial ambition, finance assumptions and available supply. Partner closely with global supply chain team to define launch quantities, inventory strategies, safety stock and phasing appropriate for the UK market. Lead UK supply readiness assessments, ensuring manufacturing, packaging, distribution and release timelines support launch and ongoing continuity of supply. Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks, constraints or dependencies that could impact UK launch timings, volumes or compliance. Ensure launch plans support long-term supply sustainability, not just day-one readiness.
  • Business Planning & Financial Integration: Lead UK business planning inputs related to launches, including volume assumptions, phasing, revenue forecasts and cost implications driven by supply scenarios. Own UK launch financial models, working closely with Finance to ensure demand and supply assumptions are fully aligned and governed. Support scenario planning to assess supply-constrained or accelerated growth situations and inform leadership decisions.
  • Launch Governance & Execution: Management of end-to-end UK launch governance, timelines and milestones, with particular accountability for supply and operational readiness. Establish clear decision points, escalation routes and risk tracking related to supply, operational feasibility and launch sequencing. Ensure launch execution meets UK regulatory, quality and compliance requirements (MHRA, ABPI and internal governance) by working with the key stakeholders within the functions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Partnership: Act as the single UK point of integration across Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Sales and Marketing. Drive alignment across functions to ensure launch plans are executable, aligned and fully supply-informed. Facilitate clear communication between global and UK stakeholders on supply assumptions and launch readiness. Partner with the UK Leadership Team to ensure launch decisions are commercially viable, financially robust and supply-secure. Provide clear insight, risk assessment and recommendations related to supply readiness and launch feasibility.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong experience in launch planning, supply planning, demand forecasting or operational readiness within pharmaceutical or life sciences organisations.
  • Proven ability to translate commercial plans into executable supply and inventory strategies.
  • High financial acumen with experience aligning forecasts, budgets and supply assumptions.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programmes in a regulated UK environment.
  • Strong governance mindset with excellent planning, risk management and execution discipline.
  • Experience working closely with global supply or manufacturing organisations.
  • Understanding of UK NHS demand dynamics and launch sequencing implications.

  • Income protection & life assurance
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus 3 additional days between Christmas and New Year
