General Requirements

The Compliance Manager supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance processes within the UK affiliate, ensuring that activities involving Medical, Commercial, and cross-functional teams are conducted in a consistent, compliant, and well-documented manner. Working cross-functionally, the role coordinates SOPs, compliance training, approval processes, Medical Information, and transparency requirements, enabling effective and scalable execution of affiliate activities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Medical Governance Processes
    • Support implementation and day-to-day operation of governance processes across Medical, Commercial, and cross-functional activities
    • Coordinate workflows to ensure activities align with internal processes and external requirements
    • Maintain oversight of governance activities and support consistency across teams
  • SOP and Process Management
    • Draft, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs and working practices for Medical-led and associated cross-functional activities
    • Translate regulatory and industry requirements into practical, fit-for-purpose processes
    • Manage document control, including versioning, formatting, and archiving
    • Coordinate SOP review cycles to ensure documentation remains current and aligned
  • Compliance Training
    • Coordinate and manage Medical compliance training (e.g. ABPI Code, internal processes, governance frameworks)
    • Maintain training matrices and track completion across relevant stakeholders
    • Support onboarding of new starters into Medical governance processes
    • Contribute to identification of training needs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Material Review and Approval Process
    • Manage the review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements
    • Ensure documentation and approvals are appropriately recorded and maintained
    • Support certification of materials (e.g. AQP where applicable) in line with internal governance requirements and applicable codes
  • Transparency and Compliance Controls
    • Coordinate the Transfer of Value (ToV) process across Medical, Commercial, and Finance
    • Maintain oversight of data, documentation, and approvals to ensure completeness
    • Support reconciliation across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency with timely and compliant working
  • Audit and Inspection Readiness
    • Maintain organised and accessible documentation to support audit readiness
    • Support preparation for internal and external audits or inspections
    • Track and support closure of actions arising from reviews
