MISSION
Unleash your expertise to spearhead the expansion of a cutting-edge financial solution across the UK and Ireland. This is your chance to dramatically grow their revenue, dominate new markets, and forge powerful partnerships with industry titans.
You will be the architect of their sales strategy, focusing on high-impact sectors like:
- Established Industries: Construction, food technology, manufacturing, packaging, and retail.
- High-Growth Frontiers: Biotechnology, agritech, and energy.
Your mission is to capture a client base with a turnover ranging from £100 million to £10 billion, leading the charge on a journey of explosive growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Leadership: Own and deliver the sales strategy for R&D Tax Credit services in the UK and Ireland, aligned with broader business development goals.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Engage with warm leads developed by the marketing team, and convert new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy developments related to R&D tax incentives to inform strategy and positioning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the BD Director and cross-functional teams (operations, marketing & finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progress. Provide regular reports and forecasts to the BD Director.
- Brand Representation: Represent them at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Use your strategic thinking to identify potential service diversifications (e.g. to complement R&D, leveraging the skills of the operational team) and work with the team to validate them and then work with the Head of Marketing to launch the new service.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within professional services or tax advisory.
- Experience with long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to adapt and stay calm under pressure.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
- Experience using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
- A great level of confidence, maturity, and a sophisticated approach to dealing with high-level individuals at large corporations.
