Public Relations Account Executive

Public Relations Account Executive

Full-Time On-site

Are you a PR Account Executive with B2B or corporate experience, looking for more variety and some brilliant clients?

We’re working with a growing London-based marketing consultancy that’s looking for a PR Account Executive to join its team.

It’s a slightly different kind of PR opportunity.

Rather than representing the usual consumer brands, you’ll help raise the profile of creative, digital, media and marketing agencies, from ambitious independents and start-ups through to major global agency networks.

You’ll be creating stories, developing thought leadership, building journalist relationships and securing the kind of coverage that gets clients noticed.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work across a portfolio of B2B clients and get involved in everything from:

  • Pitching stories and building relationships with journalists
  • Securing national, business and trade media coverage
  • Writing press releases, thought leadership and opinion pieces
  • Spotting news hooks and developing creative PR angles
  • Building media lists and doing the desk research behind every story
  • Supporting client meetings and building strong client relationships
  • Contributing ideas to PR campaigns and wider client strategy
  • Working closely with experienced PR, content and business development colleagues

It’s a genuinely varied role with plenty of opportunity to develop.

Who are we looking for?

PR agency experience is essential. You’ll be an established Account Executive, typically 6 months to 2 years into the role. You’ll have the basics nailed and be keen to build real depth in B2B PR, in a team where you’ll get plenty of support and coaching.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Agency PR experience across B2B, corporate or technology clients (a mix of B2B and consumer is great; purely consumer backgrounds are less likely to suit)
  • Strong media relations skills and confidence pitching journalists
  • Excellent writing ability, from press releases to thought leadership
  • Experience juggling multiple client accounts
  • A self-motivated, mature and coachable approach: someone who takes ownership and “gets it”

Experience in marketing, creative, media or technology PR would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

More important is that you can write, know how to find a story and genuinely enjoy building relationships with journalists and clients.

What do you get?

Alongside a salary of £28,000–£32,000 + annual bonus, there’s a strong benefits package including:

25 days’ holiday + bank holidays | Birthday off + £50 voucher | Summer hours | Early finish Fridays | Buy/sell holiday | Enhanced maternity & paternity | Cycle to Work | Season ticket loan | Headspace | NABS Masterclasses | Dog-friendly office | Regular socials, breakfasts, lunches and office treats

You’ll be joining a close-knit, friendly PR team where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, progress and take on increasing responsibility.

London – 4 days in the office / 1 day WFH
