We are a leading connector within the marketing ecosystem, bringing together agencies, brands, and technology partners through a suite of high-impact services. Positioned at the centre of the industry, we support ambitious agencies looking to scale, brands seeking fresh thinking, and martech/adtech businesses aiming to increase their visibility and influence.

Following significant investment and a period of strategic expansion, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth. As we continue to build the infrastructure and capabilities required to scale, we are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving our commercial success.

The Role

This is a high-impact, client-facing position within the Group Sales & Marketing function, responsible for accelerating growth across the business. You will be at the forefront of building and developing relationships with leading marketing agencies, converting those connections into high-quality commercial opportunities. Your focus will span both long-term retained services and high-profile event sales, contributing directly to revenue growth and pipeline development.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will take ownership of a regional or sector-focused growth strategy, working closely with business development, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver against ambitious targets. This role offers strong visibility across the organisation and regular exposure to senior stakeholders within top agencies and brands. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence direction, and contribute to the evolution of the sales function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and convert new agency relationships into both retained and project-based revenue opportunities
  • Own and execute a regional or sector-specific sales strategy aligned with quarterly and annual targets
  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent pipeline through strategic outreach, marketing collaboration, and self-generated activity
  • Develop and deliver compelling, tailored proposals and pitches to senior stakeholders
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and close high-value deals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to refine propositions and unlock new opportunities
  • Represent the business at industry events, acting as a brand ambassador and trusted partner to clients
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and reporting to support forecasting and performance tracking

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent achievement or overachievement of revenue targets
  • Growth in both the volume and value of retained client partnerships
  • Strong pipeline health and conversion rates across the sales funnel
  • High levels of client engagement, satisfaction, and repeat business
  • Accurate and reliable CRM reporting

About You

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or client acquisition—ideally within marketing, agencies, or professional services
  • Track record of owning and delivering against commercial targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of the marketing and agency landscape
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and unlock growth opportunities
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) with a data-driven approach to pipeline management
  • Proactive, resilient, and commercially astute, with confidence engaging senior decision-makers
  • A consultative, relationship-led approach and a genuine passion for helping agencies grow

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a high-growth business at a pivotal stage of expansion

  • Opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career alongside the business
