Based in Hinckley, working with small and medium-sized businesses, we provide hands-on support to demystify your IT setup, get you working smarter, and get you back on track quickly if anything falls over. We have built a large portfolio of customers and are looking for a senior engineer to help manage and develop our large customer base, being part of the team who drives this forward, whilst also assisting to support what we have when needed. Being experts in Azure, Cloud and Microsoft 365, we provide quality IT solutions to SMEs, corporates, and schools and are currently looking for the right people to join our talented IT team.

The Role: We are looking for senior engineers to help support and maintain our existing managed IT support client base and develop/drive forward new requirements. Currently, we are deploying a wide variety of Azure and Office 365 services. The role will be varied and interesting and will include:

  • Acting as a technical escalation point to the IT service desk
  • Working with our technical architects to plan, build, and install IT systems ranging from:
  • Cloud deployments
  • On-premise & Cloud servers
  • Azure PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS
  • Pro services installations

A broad skill set is required for this role as you are the escalation point for the service desk. It is a pre-requisite that you have an Azure platform and cloud-based skill set. The successful applicant will be in a position of seniority within the business; people will look to you for support, guidance, and technical ability. You will be at the “sharp end” of the business deploying technology, representing and resolving critical IT issues when called upon to speed up issue resolution in the event of a serious outage.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Previous experience held in an MSP environment
  • Experience in Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Strong technical experience of Microsoft Server operating systems, Microsoft core applications, such as Exchange, Domain Services
  • Strong skills supporting Microsoft AD, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services
  • Experience supporting network-related technologies and equipment
  • Strong skills diagnosing and resolving client application, connectivity, and hardware-based incidents
  • Exposure to Hyper-V and vSphere virtualisation technologies
  • Exposure to backup and DR technologies
  • Customer service skills, written and orally
  • Have own transport and driving license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ÂŁ40,000.00 per year
