We are looking for ambitious individuals who would like to re-imagine their future in one of the UK’s largest software firms. This is a great chance to join and lead our existing Bids team with a vibrant culture and exciting plans. You will help them to support the bids function and drive execution of formal bids and processes.

You will be working as part of our growing bids team and part of our wider Sales Enablement function and will be responsible for driving adoption of our new bids methodology and capturing performance, value based KPI’s while supporting the key business values.

The Bids & Tender Team Leader is responsible for working with the Sales team to manage, co-ordinate, and cross check responses to formal bids the company is engaged within. The Bid Support team also make daily checks on tender registers for new opportunities and manage the distribution and follow up of those opportunities.

The Bid Team Leader will be managing the people and performance of our existing bids team as well as being responsible for managing the lifecycle of tenders including:

  • Download of initial documents and sending any notification to the customer/prospect of our intention to participate.
  • Adoption of new systems and processes such as Quip, Loopio/RFPIO.
  • Distributing the relevant documents across the appropriate team members.
  • Arranging qualification and progress calls.
  • Creating and managing a 'tracker' to assign responsibilities and co-ordinate progress.
  • Collate all responses into a single document.
  • Ensure the presentation of the document is in line with company branding and standards and presents our best response possible.
  • Ensure documents are returned to the customer on time and compliant with their rules.
  • Provide reporting to stakeholders on bid progress.
  • Manage bookings onto deal desks and help manage the administration of deal desk meetings.
  • Record all outcomes from deal desk and formal bid meetings.
  • Ensure all follow up communications are distributed and keep track of progress.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • APMP Accreditation and/or Membership.
  • Evidence of successful bids/tender responses.
  • Experience managing a small/medium team.
  • Experience of government frameworks.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • A process-driven mindset and excellent understanding of outcome based metrics.
  • Be well organised to manage complex bids across many parties.
