An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated used truck sales professional to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of this leading commercial vehicle distributor. Our client is one of the UK’s foremost companies in this sector - a large scale, ambitious and successful subsidiary of a major £850m Group, supplying premium brand commercial vehicles and aftersales services through a multi-site network around the South East. The business is investing in growth and has a compelling sales proposition - an enviable reputation for the supply of high quality products, great people, superb aftersales service and support and an impressive list of household name customers. As part of a planned expansion strategy, a high achieving used truck sales expert is sought to develop and grow this division of the business.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Sales Director, your key focus will be to build a used truck division, driving sales of used trucks with both existing and new customers. In meeting and exceeding used truck business targets, you will own the customer journey from initial engagement, relationship build, negotiation, part exchange valuation and deal closure, through to seamless delivery and hand-over. With a market leading, premium brand product range and add-on services, you will work in partnership with the customer and the internal team in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Of course, you will represent the company and brand with the highest level of integrity and professionalism at all times. With demonstrable wins and financial success under your belt, you can then begin to build the business unit by developing your own team.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, driven and ambitious sales professional, with a track record of delivering sales, revenue and margin growth in a used truck environment. You may currently be a used truck sales executive or manager looking for an exciting career development opportunity, high potential earnings and a strong and successful company to work with. Either way, your expertise will be in building first class customer relationships, winning and retaining existing and new business, utilising your pro-active, positive, “hunter-gatherer” instincts.
