The organisation is investing heavily in modernising its core systems, strengthening its data capability and improving the end‑to‑end digital and in‑store customer experience. As IT & Digital Transformation Programme Manager, you will sit at the heart of this change, taking ownership of a portfolio of high‑impact programmes spanning retail systems, digital platforms, data, infrastructure and enterprise applications. You’ll work across both business and technology teams to ensure that change is delivered in a controlled, structured way — from initial design through to implementation and full business adoption. The role will suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast‑moving retail environment where technology is central to commercial performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of IT and digital transformation programmes across a multi‑channel retail environment.
- Oversee a portfolio of initiatives covering ERP, retail systems, POS, eCommerce platforms, CRM, data & analytics, and infrastructure modernisation.
- Establish and maintain robust programme governance, ensuring consistent delivery standards across all workstreams.
- Manage integrated plans across multiple suppliers, internal IT teams and business stakeholders.
- Own programme budgets, forecasts, risks, dependencies and delivery timelines, ensuring clear accountability at all stages.
- Work closely with IT, Digital, Data, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to align technology delivery with business priorities.
- Drive adoption of new systems and platforms across stores, head office and digital channels, ensuring change is embedded effectively.
- Provide clear, structured reporting to senior leadership on progress, risks, financials and benefits realisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve retail operations through better use of technology, automation and data insight.
- Support the delivery of a modern, scalable technology landscape that enables omnichannel growth and improved customer experience.
About You
You’ll be an experienced IT or transformation Programme Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex technology programmes within a retail or consumer‑facing environment. You’ll be confident operating across both business and IT, able to translate technical delivery into commercial outcomes and ensure stakeholders remain aligned throughout the lifecycle of change. You’ll thrive in environments where priorities shift quickly, and where technology plays a critical role in store operations, customer experience and commercial performance.
