Overview
We are looking for a Court of Protection Lawyer to join this caring and growing team working alongside the Head of Department, specialising in advising vulnerable individuals. The team is dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for clients, with a strong focus on professionalism, empathy and delivering an effective and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients, including Court of Protection and Attorneyship matters.
- Handle a varied caseload, which may include Court of Protection, mental capacity or safeguarding matters.
- Work closely with clients, families, carers, and external organisations to ensure holistic and tailored support.
- Travel to see clients in their homes, care homes, hospitals or hospices.
- Supervise and develop junior members of the team, including apprentices and trainee solicitors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Able to manage own caseload and prioritise work against deadlines.
- Strong background in Court of Protection.
- Excellent client care skills.
- Polite telephone manner.
- Team player within a busy and growing department.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, or alternative appropriate mode of transport.
- Positive and collaborative approach to working within a growing team.
