OVERVIEW
- Manage a varied private client caseload, including: Wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, probate and estate administration and Court of Protection applications.
- Advise clients on a range of private client matters.
- Liaise with external bodies, including the Land Registry, HMCTS and HMRC.
- Prepare estate accounts.
- Ensure accurate, efficient and compliant case management.
- Lead, develop and support the private client team.
- Provide guidance, supervision and appropriate delegation of work.
- Review work for accuracy compliance, and quality.
- Promote a collaborative, client focused team culture.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues.
- Encourage best practice and maintain high service standards across the department.
THE CANDIDATE
- At least 5 years’ PQE in private client work.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload while leading a small team.
- Excellent client care skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong IT skills; experience with case management systems advantageous.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Local residency desirable.
