The Role
- The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its leading national cross-sector Public Procurement team.
- Provide specialist support and advice on public procurement law to clients across both the public and private sectors.
- Involved in all aspects of procurement matters, acting for both contracting authorities and suppliers.
- Drafting and advising on procurement documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle, from contract notices and tender documentation to evaluation strategies, standstill communications, and contract awards.
- Advising on procurement strategies, delivering broader procurement advisory work, and providing guidance on procurement challenges, disputes, and decision-making processes.
- Playing an active role in business development activities, helping to strengthen and expand client relationships, while mentoring and supervising junior team members and supporting their professional development.
The Candidate
- Minimum of 5 years' PQE and proven experience in public procurement law.
- Confident managing own caseload and client relationships, with the ability to take ownership of matters and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent legal and analytical skills, and a sound understanding of the public sector are essential.
- Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for public procurement work.
- Desirable: experience in marketing and business development activities, networking, and public speaking.
