We are seeking a proactive and organised Legal Assistant to join a busy Commercial Property department at a well-established law firm in Dorset. This is an office-based role supporting fee earners with a varied caseload of commercial property matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous legal support experience who is looking to develop their career within commercial property.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and legal support to Commercial Property fee earners
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, contracts and leases
- Drafting correspondence and managing client communications
- Opening and closing files, conducting ID checks and ensuring AML compliance
- Carrying out Land Registry searches and Companies House checks
- Managing diaries, arranging meetings and handling telephone enquiries
- Assisting with completion statements and post-completion matters
- Maintaining accurate file management and case management systems
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary within a Commercial Property department (preferred)
- Strong understanding of commercial conveyancing processes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Professional and confident communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
