I am currently working with a leading national practice who have experienced an exciting growth surge over the last few years. In order to continue on this growth pattern they are now looking to appoint a Insolvency Senior Associate or Junior Partner into their Birmingham office. THE ROLE

This department has seen some really exciting hires within the team and are well recognised within Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. The team is dynamic and forward thinking and have some really good clients across the South West and also nationally. As a result of exciting expansion plans the insolvency team are now looking to recruit an additional Partner / Senior Associate into the team. The highly rated insolvency team of this leading practice provides advice on a range of issues which arise when insolvency occurs. The firm have identified a need within their flourishing department and they are actively looking to recruit an experienced Insolvency Solicitor. Your role will involve advising individuals, companies and also insolvency practitioners on all aspects of insolvency‑related matters. The successful Insolvency Solicitor will be providing assistance on receiverships, liquidations and company voluntary arrangements as well as administrations. You will be ambitious, driven and enthusiastic and have a passion for business development. A team player and a strong work ethos is essential for this role.

THE CANDIDATE

You will ideally have a minimum of 8 years pqe within this area of law and will be enthusiastic about this area of law. What will really make you stand out is your personality as you will have an unparalleled drive and ambition to progress your career but also to make the time to manage and mentor junior fee earners. Applicants should have a genuine passion for insolvency law and a strong commercial approach coupled with the ability to work effectively within a team. You will have excellent academics and be articulate, well presented and have a real passion for this area of law. Applicants will be required to business develop, develop relationships and make contacts. This position would suit frustrated Insolvency Solicitors looking for that next step on the career ladder. You must be able to come in and hit the ground running and go out and win new work. As part of the recruitment process you will write a brief business plan and this will form part of your strategy for the first 12‑18 months you work within this firm.
