An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate or Partner to join a nationally recognised Health & Safety team within the Planning and Environmental department. This non-contentious role involves advising clients on a broad range of regulatory risk and compliance matters. You will support social housing providers and private-sector landlords, advising on statutory compliance and contractual obligations across key risk areas including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, mould, electrical safety and gas safety.
The role also includes contributing to the development and review of health and safety policies and procedures, as well as supporting clients with crisis management following accidents, incidents or near misses. The successful candidate will join a collaborative national team, working flexibly across the firm’s offices. This role offers the opportunity to lead on significant matters, develop client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the practice.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification experience in non-contentious Health & Safety work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise and commercial awareness, alongside an innovative and pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving. You will be comfortable managing complex matters autonomously with minimal supervision, while consistently delivering a high standard of client care and service.
A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, together with a track record of contributing to business development is essential. The successful candidate will also possess a strong academic background, a structured and organised approach to work and the ability to collaborate effectively within a flexible and supportive team environment.
