The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
The successful candidate will provide high quality secretarial and administrative assistance to Fee Earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department. The role will include:
- Providing secretarial support to family law Fee Earners
- Audio and copy typing of correspondence, court documents and legal forms
- Managing diaries, appointments and court deadlines
- Preparing and bundling documents for court hearings
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files in line with compliance requirements
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties in a professional and confidential manner
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support the wider team
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a family law department. You will demonstrate:
- Strong audio typing and IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional and empathetic manner when dealing with clients
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- Reliability, proactivity and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience with case management systems and knowledge of family court procedures would be advantageous but is not essential.
