A fixed-term contract opportunity for an experienced junior paralegal supporting the family department with administrative and secretarial duties.
Responsibilities:- Providing full administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, arranging meetings and appointments, and dealing with routine client correspondence and enquiries.
- Handling initial client enquiries and setting up new matters, ensuring full onboarding, ID checks and compliance with anti-money laundering requirements.
- Producing documents through audio and copy typing, as well as printing and processing work accurately and efficiently.
- Managing files throughout their lifecycle, including opening new files, scanning and e-filing documents on the Case Management System, maintaining paper files, and overseeing file closure and archiving.
- Supporting the billing process by preparing monthly invoices, requesting and recording payments, liaising with the Accounts Team, and chasing outstanding balances.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, both in person and by telephone, and liaising with third parties such as Counsel, Courts, experts and other solicitors.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times and demonstrating strong IT skills, with proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and electronic Case Management Systems.
