This specialist team within an award-winning national law firm is seeking additional talent to advise on complex data protection matters on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The practice is a growing contentious data protection and information governance team seeking a solicitor or experienced data protection professional.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on complex Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information Requests, data breaches and other challenging information law issues.
- Working on interesting, often high-profile matters alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitors with data protection experience or in-house data protection professionals.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act, with experience managing DSARs and FOIA requests.
- Practical experience responding to personal data breaches and a commercial, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in Cyber Attacks and contentious data protection matters, including tribunal proceedings, is a distinct advantage.
