A new opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a friendly and supportive team.

THE ROLE: This is a dynamic role involving high-quality legal work, direct collaboration with social care professionals, and regular advocacy in the Family Courts. You will manage a varied and complex caseload of public law childcare proceedings, supporting Children’s Services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Handle complex and sensitive cases including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, neglect, and multi-agency disputes. Conduct advocacy in Family Proceedings Courts and County Courts. Prepare court documents including applications, threshold documents, witness statements, and case management orders.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Applications are sought from Childcare Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 Years PQE. Proven experience handling childcare/public law caseloads. Experience of advocacy in family proceedings. Strong understanding of safeguarding law and local government children’s services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage complex, high-pressure workloads effectively. Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers.
