This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking for a temporary role, providing the chance to take on a varied personal injury caseload with a high level of autonomy. This firm values a people-focused culture and team-oriented environment, supported by various employee-focused benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a claimant multi-track personal injury caseload with full conduct, from the pre-action stage through to settlement or trial, ensuring compliance with the CPR and relevant Pre-Action Protocols and working with a high level of autonomy.
  • Taking detailed initial instructions and providing advice on liability, causation and quantum, formulating case strategy, monitoring key deadlines and proactively managing procedural, evidential, limitation and costs risks.
  • Drafting, reviewing and finalising core litigation documents, including statements of case, schedules of loss, witness statements, applications, directions and detailed briefs to counsel and expert witnesses.
  • Instructing and working closely with medical and non-medical experts, managing disclosure, preparing trial-ready (including electronic) bundles, and attending CMCs, PTRs and interlocutory hearings, with the opportunity to undertake routine advocacy where appropriate.
  • Driving cases towards resolution through negotiation, Part 36 offers and alternative dispute resolution, as well as securing interim payments and coordinating rehabilitation in line with recognised industry guidance.
  • Working within a hybrid model, with 3 days based in the office and 2 days working remotely.
