Job Description

Head of Residential Conveyancing, 6+ Years PQE, Staffordshire, £60,000+ (DOE) – We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Residential Conveyancing to drive the continued success of a busy Residential Property department.

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of conveyancing fee earners, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Drive departmental performance by delivering excellent client service, meeting financial and income targets, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local estate agents, introducers, and other professional contacts to generate new business.
  • Manage a caseload of complex and high-value residential property matters, including re-mortgages, shared ownership transactions, lease extensions, and other technically challenging conveyancing work.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Applications are sought from Residential Property Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 6 Years PQE.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a busy conveyancing department.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of residential conveyancing and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive departmental profitability.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
