An established Top 100 UK law firm is investing in the continued growth of its Manchester office and is now looking to appoint a senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor to lead and develop its disputes capability across the North West.
This appointment suits a commercially minded litigator who wants more than just a fee-earning role offering the chance to shape strategy, build a team and influence the direction of a growing regional practice with the backing of a national platform.
The Position
- Joining at Legal Director or Partner level, you will be responsible for expanding the firm's Commercial Litigation profile in Manchester.
- You will work closely with colleagues nationally while acting as the focal point for disputes work in the region.
- Your work will include:
- Taking the lead on the Manchester commercial disputes practice
- Advising businesses on high-value and complex litigation matters
- Running cases across the High Court, mediation and other dispute forums
- Handling contractual, shareholder, professional negligence and commercial conflict matters
- Collaborating with corporate, insolvency and commercial teams on contentious issues
- Developing client relationships and strengthening the firm's North West reputation
- Building, mentoring and managing a disputes team
About You
- England & Wales qualified Solicitor specialising in Commercial Litigation
- Likely 8+ years' PQE (flexible for exceptional candidates)
- Strong technical disputes background with a commercial mindset
- Track record of winning work and maintaining trusted client relationships
- Ambition to grow and lead a practice area
- Confident, collaborative and business-focused
- A client following is beneficial, but not required; however, it is essential that you have a strong network of contacts around the North West of England
