THE ROLE:
A well established and thriving law firm is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead their busy residential property department. This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing team, shape strategy, drive growth and maintain the firm’s reputation for exceptional client service. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of Conveyancers, Assistants and Support Staff across multiple offices. You will oversee all aspects of residential property work, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, while maintaining a reduced personal caseload. You will also play a key role in departmental budgeting, reporting, strategic planning and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, client experience and team collaboration. Driving business development and nurturing relationships with referrers will also be a key part of the role.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Conveyancer with substantial experience in residential property law and a proven track record of managing and developing high performing teams. You will be commercially aware, highly organised and able to balance leadership responsibilities with a smaller personal caseload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Experience in strategic planning, departmental budgeting and business development within a conveyancing environment is highly desirable.
