An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Insurance & Risk team at an exciting stage of growth.
Recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers, this top 50 national firm has rapidly built a strong market reputation and is continuing to gain momentum through industry recognition, thought leadership, and a growing profile across the London and international insurance markets.
This role offers the chance to work with insurers, MGAs, reinsurers and other market participants on a broad range of complex coverage and claims matters, with a particular focus on property damage claims and related coverage issues.
The Role:
- Advising on complex coverage issues and disputes across a range of insurance classes.
- Drafting and reviewing policy wordings, with a particular emphasis on property damage risks.
- Managing high-value claims litigation, including subrogated recoveries.
- Handling disputes before the Commercial Court and Technology & Construction Court.
- Contributing to business development initiatives, client briefings, articles and wider market engagement.
- Playing a key role in the continued growth and success of a dynamic and expanding practice.
About You:
- 7+ years' PQE
- Strong insurance and reinsurance experience gained within a recognised City, specialist insurance, or market-facing practice. Applications are also welcomed from lawyers who have developed comparable expertise in-house within the insurance sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance and reinsurance law.
- Experience handling complex, high-value matters.
- A solid understanding of the London insurance market.
- Commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills.
- A collaborative, proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
