Job Description

  • Legal Counsel - Employment
  • n Buckinghamshire (Hybrid - approx. 2 days per month in the office)

  • n We're recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established organisation for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its in-house legal team.
  • n
  • n This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with 4+ years' PQE in employment law to work on a varied caseload covering both contentious and non-contentious matters, while partnering with stakeholders across a complex organisation.

  • n The Role
  • n You'll provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment issues, including:

  • n/t
  • Employment Tribunal claims from Early Conciliation through to final hearing. /n/t - Disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and trade union matters. /n/t - Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, procedures, settlement agreements and other employment documentation. /n/t - Delivering employment law training and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. /n/t - Managing external legal advisers and providing pragmatic, risk-based legal advice.

• n You'll be a qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with

  • At least 4 years' PQE in employment law. /n/t - Strong Employment Tribunal experience. /n/t - Excellent drafting and stakeholder management skills. /n/t - The ability to communicate practical legal advice to non-legal audiences. /n/t - A commercial, solutions-focused approach. /n/t - Experience working in-house or advising large, complex or unionised organisations would be advantageous but is not essential.
