Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Legal Executive

Herefordshire – Full‑time or Part‑time – Hybrid Working – Competitive Salary

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our busy property team. The role requires effective self‑management of a varied caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, development acquisitions and disposals, re‑sales and title‑related work. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts and leases, dealing with SDLT (incl. reliefs), investigating title and handling restrictive covenant variations and releases. Files are run independently from instruction through to completion, delivering a high standard of client care throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse residential conveyancing caseload (freehold, leasehold, development transactions, re‑sales, title work)
  • Drafter and negotiator of contracts and leases
  • Handle SDLT, including reliefs, and investigative title matters
  • Address restrictive covenant variations and releases
  • Run files independently from instruction to completion, ensuring excellent client care
  • Commercially aware, organised and responsive to client needs
  • Manage competing priorities effectively

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in residential conveyancing and development transactions
  • Strong technical knowledge and confident drafting and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness, organisational aptitude and client‑focused approach
  • Ability to work self‑directedly and manage competing priorities
