Family Solicitor (Care Proceedings) | Bristol | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary DOE About the Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded specialist family law practice is seeking a Family Solicitor (1-5 Years PQE) to join its growing team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in public children law who is passionate about representing parents in care proceedings and associated family law matters.
The firm has a strong reputation for providing high-quality representation to vulnerable clients and offers a supportive, collaborative environment where lawyers are encouraged to develop their expertise and progress their careers.
The Role You will manage your own caseload of publicly funded family matters, acting primarily on behalf of parents involved in:
- Care Proceedings
- Public Law Outline (PLO) matters
- Pre-proceedings work
- Non-Accidental Injury cases
- Child protection matters
- Applications involving local authority intervention
- Related public family law matters The successful candidate will work closely with experienced family law specialists and advocates, providing practical and empathetic advice to clients throughout often complex and sensitive proceedings.
Candidate Requirements Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with
- Between 1-5 years PQE
- Experience handling publicly funded family law matters
- Strong knowledge of Care Proceedings and Public Children Law
- Experience advising and representing parents involved in local authority proceedings
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable clients Children Panel membership would be advantageous but is not essential.
