An excellent opportunity offered on a fixed-term contract basis for an experienced legal assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support within the family department.
OVERVIEW
- Managing fee earners’ diaries, arranging meetings and appointments, and handling routine client correspondence and enquiries.
- Dealing with new client enquiries and setting up new matters, including full onboarding, identification checks and compliance with anti-money laundering requirements.
- Typing, printing and processing dictation accurately and efficiently.
- Organising, scanning and e‑filing documents on the Case Management System, while maintaining paper files and overseeing the opening and archiving of all files.
- Administering the billing process, including preparing monthly invoices, requesting payments, recording receipts and liaising with the Accounts Team, as well as chasing outstanding balances.
- Liaising confidently with clients in person and by telephone, and with third parties such as Counsel, Courts, experts and other solicitors, delivering a high standard of client care.
- Ensuring strict confidentiality at all times and demonstrating strong IT skills, with proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and electronic Case Management Systems.
