Responsibilities

The role focuses solely on contentious probate work, covering a broad mix of disputes arising from estates and trusts, including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act, challenges to the validity of wills, executor and administrator disputes, estate administration issues, Court of Protection matters and trust-related litigation. Manage your own caseload while contributing to larger, more complex matters alongside colleagues across both contentious and private client teams, with close support and technical guidance within a well-established specialist team, and opportunities to build expertise in this niche area.

Qualifications

Applicants will typically have between three and five years’ experience in civil litigation, with exposure to contentious probate work. Candidates from a broader litigation background with a genuine interest in this area will also be considered. This role would suit a motivated solicitor looking to develop a long-term career in contentious private client work within an expanding practice.
