CRIMINAL DEFENCE SOLICITOR, 3 + PQE, GREATER MANCHESTER, £35,000 – £50,000, 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT. A reputable law firm is looking to employ a temporary criminal defence solicitor to cover a maternity leave position. JOB REF: 7902•The appointed solicitor will provide comprehensive legal advice to clients, conduct case analysis, and collaborate with external professionals such as barristers, forensic experts, and investigators to build a robust defence.•You will represent clients in court proceedings, including bail hearings, pre-trial conferences and plea negotiations. You will also conduct thorough legal research to stay current on relevant laws.•The firm is seeking an experienced locum solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and experience in a client-facing role, with proven ability to manage own caseload for both guilty and not guilty pleas.•The ideal candidate will have experience in handling criminal defence cases, with a focus on cases involving drink driving, drug driving, fatalities, dangerous driving, speeding, and related offenses.•This role will be initially office based but the firm can offer hybrid working after settling in period.eNL will never share your CV with a third party without your express permission.
