An exciting opportunity for a Childcare Solicitor to work in a sensitive but rewarding area of law, where you will have the chance to make a real difference to families and children during a challenging time in their lives.

THE ROLE:

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your expertise within a supportive and collaborative team, taking on a key role in business development and contributing to the continued success of the family department. The role involves supporting clients through care proceedings from initial involvement right through to final hearings, as well as advising on special guardianship applications and related public law matters. You will undertake your own advocacy, representing clients in court and delivering clear, compassionate guidance to vulnerable clients who are often facing complex and highly sensitive situations.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ PQE as a Childcare Solicitor and will be seeking the next step in their career. You should be confident in managing your own caseload and have solid experience in public children law matters. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to empathise with clients and remain calm under pressure. You should also be able to explain complex legal issues clearly and reassuringly to clients during emotionally challenging times.
