A successful, Legal 500 firm is seeking an additional Solicitor to its Criminal Defence team.

An established and growing law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join its busy Criminal Law team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment while handling a varied and interesting caseload.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of criminal matters for both legal aid and privately funded clients
  • Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court
  • Handling Crown Court matters from preparation through to progression
  • Attending court hearings and representing clients at police stations
  • Liaising with colleagues, clients, courts, and third parties
  • Ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and effectively
  • Preparing accurate legal documentation and providing clear legal advice
  • Contributing positively to team objectives and maintaining regulatory compliance

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified solicitor with a solid track record in criminal law.
  • Duty Solicitor status or Police Station Accreditation would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong communicator with client care skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively and IT proficiency
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
