Contentious Probate Solicitor | 5+ PQE | Leicestershire | £70,000 + DOE | financial bonus scheme | healthcare plan | A highly sort after legal firm is currently looking for an ambitious Solicitor to work within their Litigation team
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will need to have an understanding of relevant legislation and policies, such as the ones listed below:
Manage a full-time fee earner’s caseload.
Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research and initial case assessments.
Advise clients on contentious matters.
Draft pleadings, statements of case and pre-issue documents, filing with the court as required.
Manage case files, administration and deadlines.
Attend court hearings and conferences, with or without counsel.
Prepare and organise evidence, exhibits, documents and briefs.
Gather relevant information from multiple sources.
Liaise with internal teams and external parties.
Assist with larger claims handled by other fee earners.
Supervise and support junior colleagues.
These will play a key part in conducting your role at this firm, you will also need a good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, SRA policies and other relevant codes of practice.
THE CANDIDATE:
We are accepting applications from those with at least five years of experience working within a similar role. You should also bring with you:
Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to work with others.
Ability to prioritise workloads when subjected to time constraints.
Able to discreetly handle sensitive matters.
A methodical approach allowing for good organisation skills.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Excellent client satisfaction and services for both colleagues and clients.
