Job Title: Workshop Engineer
Location: Oswestry, Shropshire
Salary: £33,280 (salary is negotiable depending on experience). Overtime will be available at additional rates, 28 Days Annual Leave, Company Pension Scheme, Company Bonus Scheme, Full Manufacturer & Product Training provided.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established organisation based in Oswestry, who are looking for an ambitious individual to join their workshop service team. The business supplies and supports a wide range of mobile elevating work platforms, working closely with customers across the UK. Their operation places a strong emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement, offering a stable working environment and opportunities for professional career development.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting major mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and replacing parts where required
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective troubleshooting and repairs
- Performing both minor and major maintenance activities
- Completing pre-delivery inspections and thorough examinations of equipment
- Completing warranty repairs in line with company and manufacturer guidelines
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers and workshop colleagues when required
- Actively supporting and complying with all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
- 2 years\’ experience in a similar engineering or workshop-based role
- Experience within the access equipment or aerial work platforms industry is advantageous but not essential
- Candidates from a Plant Engineering, Forklift Truck, Aircraft Engineering, or Military Engineering background are encouraged to apply
