Part of a major international group, this organisation is investing significantly in upgrades to their modern manufacturing facility and is seeking to hire an experienced Project Manager for a fixed term contract duration to lead a number of high value capital projects, specifically additional upgrades to factory automation and robotic systems integration.
As a Senior Programme Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple turnkey automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to customers' technical specifications.
Duties:
- Lead the management of designated projects, delivering agreed objectives including revenue, timing and deliverables, taking a project from conception to completion and escalating issues as they arise.
- Support initial feasibility reviews, validation of quotations and development of project budgets and timing for plant-based activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timescales and budgets leading to successful completion and buy off.
- Follow the business process to realise programme delivery and identify areas of change to work scope and control via change management process.
Experience:
- You will already have significant experience in a Programme Manager or Project Manager capacity gained within the industrial control systems and automation, robotic application or automotive OEM facilities.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams delivering high value turnkey projects.
- Setting up full development plans from concept to production with associated gateways/KPI trackers, maintenance of timing and cost plans.
- Knowledge of complex manufacturing automation - PLC/HMI control systems, MES, AGV/AMR robotic and tooling utilised in automotive/high volume manufacturing processes such as BIW welded assemblies, product assembly and test, powertrain assembly, EV/battery tray build etc.
- Analytical with good judgement, commercial business sense and problem-solving skills.
- Relation builder with good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Structured worker with good time management and project management ability.
- Able to travel to Europe on occasion.
