The successful candidate will play a key role in improving governance, strengthening cross-functional coordination and driving better commercial outcomes across the business.

A major part of the role will be ensuring the business has clear ownership of commercial activity, with stronger coordination between Sales, Purchasing and Project Management. You will help remove unnecessary complexity, improve decision-making and ensure that commercial processes support both profitability and customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the commercial process from order receipt through to project handover.
  • Lead pricing strategy, commercial governance and tender activity.
  • Manage supplier negotiations and strengthen commercial agreements.
  • Improve margin control and profitability across the business.
  • Maintain pricing models, product and service price lists, and margin reviews.
  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing and Project Management to improve coordination.
  • Reduce unnecessary stakeholder involvement and improve process clarity.
  • Develop the capability of the team and redefine responsibilities where necessary.

Experience and skills needed:

  • Background in manufacturing or an Engineering related industrial sector preferred.
  • Strong commercial leadership experience.
  • Proven change management and process improvement capability.
  • Confident negotiator with a commercial mindset.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence effectively.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable managing internal and external stakeholders.
