We are working with a leading global manufacturer of high-performance control valves who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to work across the South of England and Ireland territory.
Our client is a privately owned multiple £mil turnover European manufacturer of innovative valve technology and solutions and are poised for further growth with a range of valves servicing a number of different sectors including chemicals, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, polymers, metals and textile industries.
The business will be looking for an ambitious and technically skilled Sales Manager to identify new clients and drive sales growth throughout the South of England and Ireland. You will be responsible for developing and nurturing existing client relationships whilst securing new business partners and providing technical support to ensure our solutions meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities for the Area Sales Manager:
- Deliver and exceed sales targets within your territory, focusing on control valve solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy.
- Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
Key Requirements for the Area Sales Manager:
- Proven track record of success in technical sales, likely working in a comparable position of Area Sales Manager or Field Sales representative; either from a Manufacturer or Distributor of industrial valves, or related process measuring and control technology products.
- Strong technical background, likely to be HNC/Degree educated, with the ability to understand and communicate complex product solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously across a large territory.
- Full driving licence and willing to travel extensively across the South of England and Ireland.
