Job Description

Job Title: Sustainability Assurance SpecialistLocation: Hybrid – Hampton Coal WharfSalary: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)Are you passionate about sustainability and making a real impact on the environment and future infrastructure of your community?If so, this is the job for you!HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Sustainability Assurance Specialist to support our Capital Delivery projects, ensuring they not only meet but exceed environmental standards and commitments.The role will be focused on driving sustainability performance, providing expert advice, supporting project teams in meeting carbon and sustainability obligations, and raising awareness across the organisation.Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote the continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability performance across all projects.
  • Stay familiar with and communicate the requirements of current and emerging environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Work with the Project Engineering team to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Support all project personnel in managing their carbon and sustainability duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist the Environmental team in meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness and understanding of carbon and sustainability targets across Capital Delivery.

Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental, Sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within the Utility industry is preferable.
  • A keen interest in project delivery, with a passion for protecting and enhancing the environment.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to problem-solve and maintain high standards under changing scenarios.
  • Full UK driver’s licence and access to a car.

  • Passionate about sustainability and driving positive change.
  • Collaborative, innovative and adaptable in approach.
