Middlemore have partnered on a retained basis with a leading global private markets advisory firm, with offices across the UK, EU, US, and APAC. Their culture is built on excellence, collaboration, and integrity, and their people are at the heart of their success. We are working in partnership to appoint a Senior Manager, Learning, Development & Talent to create and embed a global L&D and talent development strategy that will shape the next chapter of their people agenda.
This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. It represents a rare greenfield opportunity to build a best-in-class learning and talent framework from the ground up, with direct influence on how they develop their people globally. You will design and implement pragmatic, scalable solutions across:
Competency and behavioural frameworks
Global learning curriculums
Leadership and management development
Training needs analysis and structured career pathways
Talent forums, assessment, and certification-based promotion
The remit is truly global and spans all levels of the organisation, from early-career professionals to senior leaders and future partners. Some key priorities for this role will include:
Training Needs Analysis (TNA): Conduct the first comprehensive review in 4+ years and set priorities.
Management & Leadership Development: Create and roll out programmes from 2025 onwards.
Competency Frameworks: Build and implement global frameworks and assessment processes from scratch.
Learning Curriculum: Establish structured, scalable training aligned to job bands and promotion points.
Talent Forums: Partner with HRBPs to introduce talent assessment and development pathways.
Digital & Blended Learning: Implement e-learning and tech-enabled solutions (currently absent).
Culture: Reignite Campbell Lutyens’ historic learning culture with cost-effective, repeatable global programmes.We are seeking a practical, commercially minded L&D leader who thrives in building fit-for-purpose solutions. What will you need to be considered?
7+ years in L&D, Talent, or Organisational Development.
Proven experience building competency frameworks, development pathways, and leadership/management programmes from scratch.
Strong network of external providers in leadership and executive development.
Demonstrated success in global or multi-regional environments (UK, EU, US, APAC).
A “do-er” who can both design and deliver.
Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders in a professional services or financial services context.
Globally minded and culturally adaptable.
Commercial, collaborative, and able to balance ambition with practicality.
