HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Principal Environmental Engineer to promote sustainability, champions continuous improvements and drive environmental excellence. The role will be focused on leading a team to manage environmental risks and compliance, drive process improvement and best practices, guide team development, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure environmental excellence across all project stages, Main Responsibilities: Drive excellence and innovation within the Environmental Engineering function. Oversee and mentor a team of environmental specialists, fostering their growth and professional development. Direct the procurement of essential environmental services to support project objectives. Provide authoritative guidance on meeting environmental regulatory obligations. Champions ongoing enhancements to Environmental Engineering processes and standards. Shape and sustain a robust Environmental Engineering framework, guiding professionals from early career to industry-leading expertise and supporting engineering requirements for current and future projects. Forge and nurture strong partnerships with consultants’ and contractors’ environmental teams. Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of the current regulatory landscape and emerging environmental legislation to ensure compliance. Exceptional ability to lead and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Awareness of how environmental choices can impact commercial and contractual outcomes. Collaborative mindset with the capability to influence senior leaders. Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental or Sustainability disciplines, and membership of a relevant professional body – chartered or progressing toward chartered status.
