HSEQ Advisor | Derby | Covering Derby to the South Coast & Ipswich to the Welsh Border | £40,000–£50,000 + Company Vehicle Looking for a hands-on HSEQ role where you can manage your own diary and make a genuine impact across a wide, multi-site region? My client is a well-established organisation delivering projects across the southern and eastern regions, from Derby down to the south coast and from Ipswich across to the Welsh border. They are now seeking an HSEQ Advisor to provide full regional coverage, working alongside the Head of HSEQ to maintain day-to-day safety, compliance and quality standards across all projects. This is a genuinely field-based position with no office-based tether. You’ll spend your time out on site, carrying out inspections, engaging with site teams, monitoring compliance, supporting project managers with RAMS and risk assessments, and helping to embed a proactive safety culture. The role will involve a blend of day and night working, depending on project requirements, with the flexibility to organise your schedule around site visits, team catch-ups and emerging priorities. You’ll report directly to the Head of HSEQ, attend regular weekly catch-ups to review trends, risks and priorities, and then take ownership of visiting sites, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement. As the dedicated advisory resource for these regions, you’ll be the first point of contact for HSEQ support from day one. The client is open on experience level. If you are early in your HSEQ career and keen to develop, they will provide mentoring and support. For more experienced candidates, particularly those holding Tech IOSH or an equivalent qualification, this would be advantageous - but the key requirements are the right attitude, flexibility and the ability to work independently. You’ll likely have: NEBOSH General Certificate, or an equivalent such as NCRQ/NVQ Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation, with experience of site inspections, audits and incident investigations Excellent organisation and the ability to manage a diary across a large, multi-site region Confidence engaging with teams at all levels, challenging where necessary and supporting project managers with RAMS and risk assessments Flexibility to work a mix of days and nights as project demands require A full UK driving licence, with a company vehicle provided In return, you’ll receive a company vehicle, laptop, phone and the autonomy to manage your own patch across the south and east of the country. Salary is expected to be in the region of £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience. If you’re an HSEQ professional who enjoys a self-directed, site-based role and wants to join a business where you’ll be genuinely needed from day one, this could be the opportunity for you.
