HSE Recruitment Network are working with an existing client in Nottingham to find them a new Office Administrator.

Sector: Recycling

Salary: Β£28,000 - Β£33,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Colwick, Nottingham

Hours: Mon-Fri 7.30am – 5pm, 3 week rota for Saturday shift 8am – 12noon (at a second site 15 minutes away)

This will be a very varied role so if you are a self-motivated individual, who likes to multitask, try different things and is able to work independently then this could be for you. A friendly small but effective team awaits the right person to help strive for perfection and feel valued and a vital part of the team.

The administration officer is responsible for various tasks within the office, these include (but are not restricted) to:

  • Weighing customers in and out on the weighbridge, input pricing, producing tickets, and obtaining the relevant information/ID to process payment.
  • Reception duties, including directing visitors and customers on site, answering the telephone, organisation within the office to ensure good presentation, filing etc.
  • Assisting buyers out on the road with paperwork, organisation and follow up correspondence.
  • A creative ability to produce high quality professional marketing material and social media posts to advertise and grow the business.
  • General purchasing and sales processes to aid in the concept of producing relevant paperwork and liaising with suppliers and customers face to face, via email or over the telephone.
  • Become familiar with pricing structures and material grades to compile self-bills where relevant.

Skills required:

  • Must be competent in all aspects of office administration, computer skills required to use Word, Excel and Outlook. Training provided for internal weighbridge software.
  • A minimum of 5 years office experience preferably with supervisor skills to show confidence and ability to lead and use initiative.
  • Good telephone manner and a friendly persona a must to ensure customers feel comfortable and confident with the service they receive.
  • Ability to multi-task and to stay calm and focused under pressure is essential.
  • A positive and can do attitude is imperative and in return all the training and support you require to make an office environment your own.
