A global specialised Manufacturer in the Kidderminster area are looking for two Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers, ideally one with an electrical bias and the other with a mechanical bias. The ideal candidates will be hard-working and adaptable Engineers with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a shopfloor with strict H&S and standards, you will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns. This is a fantastic opportunity with a multi-national company who supply to some of the biggest names in the industry.
The key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role will be:
- Adhere to all SHE and statutory Safety, Health and Environmental requirements at all times.
- Accurately and promptly record all maintenance activities, including work completed, root causes of failures, and spares or consumables used.
- Ensure all maintenance downtime is correctly logged, monitor repair times, and identify opportunities to reduce downtime through improved methods and procedures using the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
- Work collaboratively within the maintenance team to support safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
- Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance in line with agreed schedules.
- Diagnose and rectify faults across all plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
- Investigate and identify root causes of equipment failures to improve asset reliability and performance in line with operational targets.
- Respond promptly and effectively to plant breakdowns, ensuring all company procedures and standards are fully complied with.
- Support the development of apprentices by providing hands-on training within the maintenance discipline.
The key requirements of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be:
- Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
- Proven maintenance engineering professional with high standards of electrical and mechanical understanding and competencies.
- Fault diagnosis and rectification processes and planned and corrective maintenance activities gained from within a similar role as part of an industrial maintenance team.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Ability to work to find root cause of failure in reactive maintenance scenarios and implement permanent corrective actions.
