We are working with a leading global manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced Senior HR Manager for a significant manufacturing operation based in Hereford. This is a highly visible, hands-on HR leadership role, offering the opportunity to lead the people agenda for an established manufacturing site employing over 400 people. Reporting directly to the General Manager and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the site's HR function and act as a trusted adviser to senior operational leaders. This is not purely a strategic HR role. We are looking for a leader who enjoys being visible within the operation, engaging with employees and managers and remaining actively involved in the day-to-day delivery of HR. Leading a small HR team, you will take responsibility for the full employee lifecycle and a broad range of strategic and operational HR activities. Partnering with the General Manager and Senior Leadership Team on people and organisational priorities. Leading and developing a small, established HR team. Providing expert advice and guidance across employee and industrial relations. Managing complex disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters. Building and maintaining constructive relationships with trade union representatives. Driving improvements in leadership capability, employee engagement and organisational performance. Supporting talent management, succession planning and employee development. Monitoring and improving key HR metrics, including absence, turnover and headcount. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and corporate HR policies and procedures. Maintaining a highly visible presence across the manufacturing operation. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR professional who can operate confidently within a fast-paced and challenging manufacturing environment.
