Working Hours: 45 hours per week, 07:00 – 16:00 (Monday to Friday)
Role Overview: We are seeking two experienced Field Service Engineers to join our growing team, covering the Suffolk and Norfolk area. The ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of field service experience within the plant industry and possess extensive hands-on experience working with large excavators, dump trucks, and wheel loaders. A Level 3 qualification in plant maintenance is essential, and experience with OEMs or dealerships is preferred, though we are open to considering candidates with other backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery, including excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, and other related equipment.
- Diagnostic Fault-Finding: Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Customer Support: Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and minimizing downtime.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a high level of health and safety on-site.
- Equipment Inspection: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
- Documentation: Complete service reports, job sheets, and accurate records for future reference.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement in service offerings.
Person Specification:
- Full Driving License: A clean and valid driver’s license, as the role involves travel to various client sites.
- OEM/Dealership Experience: Previous experience with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) or dealerships is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with large plant machinery, including excavators, dump trucks, and wheel loaders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on following procedures and maintaining high standards of work.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication with both clients and colleagues.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: £22-£23 per hour (reviewed annually in June).
- Overtime: Time and a half for Saturday overtime.
- Holiday: 29 days plus statutory holidays (7 days reserved for a two-week shutdown at Christmas).
- Pension: 3% contribution.
- Fuel Card: Provided.
- Paid Door-to-Door: Travel time is fully compensated.
